Bus Signal Priority

The Signal Priority system combines bus priority, remote access, bus alignment, audio announcement and traffic detection in one unit. It also provides features for emergency vehicles or preemption without route planning. The TSP transmitter is installed in the vehicle either with GPS input or with Bus Rapid Transit interface that is VDV-300 compliant. The GPS/Transit interface triggers the request and clear request events and cause a radio transmitter. The targeted intersection will acknowledge the request.

  • VDV-300 Interface Compliant
  • Windows route feature simulator
  • 433MHz, 868MHz and 915MHz ISM frequencies available
  • Bidirectional communications
  • 16 relays, RS485, RS232, Ethernet and USB interface to Traffic Controller
  • Systems log all requests, regardless if it is granted
  • Realtime central access, and configuration
  • Sophisticated decision matrix resolves

The TSP Traffic Controller Processor is responsible for coordinating the following information related to buses:

  • Different buses arriving simultaneously
  • A bus within radio range of more than 1 intersection
  • Different Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of each and of different buses
  • Different Priority levels for each bus
  • Different Approaching Direction as well as Requesting Direction for each bus
  • Different Ridership for each bus

Bus Station Door Control System

The Stuttgart Bus door Control System uses 3-dimensional magnetic field produced by a Neodymium magnet installed on the bus, as an all-weather robust alignment tool in 3 axis. The Nanopod sensor installed on the station includes a Bluetooth 5 transceiver, 3 axis magnetic sensor and RS485 communications to the Door processor.

  • Compatible with modbus-capable doors
  • Sensing area is 500mm x 500mm x 500mm
  • Sensing precision up to 8mm
  • Alignment confirmation for wheelchair access ramp
  • Support up to 32 door sets per station
  • Support 3 doors per bus
  • Remote data logging and door override control
  • Communicate to bus doors via dry contacts
